“THE JOY OF THE FAMILY” – The mission continues:

Monday, November 13th at 7:00 p.m.

St. Jude is pleased to host another event of this multi-year mission sponsored by the Diocese of Palm Beach Office of Marriage and Family Life

St. Jude parishioners, Meaghan and Henry Hildebrandt have been married 8 years and are happy parents to four children.  Henry earned his MBA at Nova SE University and is Operations Manager at Avstar Fuels Systems in Jupiter.  Meaghan earned her Master of Arts in Theology at Franciscan University in Steubenville and is the stay-at-home Mom to their children.  Both are graduates of Cardinal Newman High School in WPB.  Come hear them speak about God’s plan for men and women, His loving role in our redemption, and the gift of family.  Listen as they share their story of the hard work of choosing JOY within the day-to-day living of our vocations as men and women.

Whether we are married, single, divorced, widowed, clergy, professed, young or simply young at heart, we come from and belong to a family- the Domestic Church. We also belong to the broader family of families- the Catholic Church.

Sponsored by the Diocese of Palm Beach Office of Marriage and Family Life. For more information, please  CLICK HERE

(suitable for teens and above)

Wednesdays, beginning November 29th from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

How are we preparing our hearts for the greatest gift we’ve ever been given? Through an exploration of the mystery of the Incarnation, the Virgin Birth, and the events surrounding the arrival of Jesus, this Advent study offers an opportunity to experience the joy, wonder, holiness, and beauty, which go beyond mere sentimentality.

This study begins the Church year by exploring the Gospel Nativity narratives which serve as vivid examples of how to prepare our hearts so that “watching” for Jesus is an active reality of Christian discipleship. This series includes video presentations by prominent contemporary theologians Dr. Ted Sri and Dr. Tim Gray.

In 4 segments, “Prepare the Way”, “Trust in God”, “Watch and Pray”, and “The Gift”, this study looks at the biblical account and gives a proper context for a truly meaningful celebration of joy in our lives today! This study is suitable for teens and older.  Study participants will gather for 4 Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning November 29th.

Please contact Deacon Les by November 15th to reserve your materials.

Pre-registration is required so necessary materials may be produced.  You may register by contacting Deacon Les at 561-746-7974 x234 or at deaconles@stjudechurch.net.  Material fees may be paid by cash, check or credit card.  For checks please write “Advent Study” in the memo line.
