On behalf of the Diocese of Palm Beach, you are invited to join us for the annual diocesan “Blue Mass” on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola (9999 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens 33410). The Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito, Bishop of Palm Beach, will be the celebrant of this special liturgy. The diocese encompasses five counties, and we are grateful for law enforcement officers and other safety personnel who work daily to keep our communities safe. This Mass is held purposely on September 29, as it is the feast day of the archangels, Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, who are the patron saints of police officers/first responders.
The liturgy is open to anyone who would like to attend. All active and retired law enforcement personnel in Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, Okeechobee and Palm Beach counties, from local municipalities to the state and national level, will be recognized at the Mass. As always, we encourage family members to attend, as well as families of those who have fallen.
In addition, please make plans to join us after the Mass for fellowship and refreshments in the parish hall. For more information, please email communications@diocesepb.org or call 561-775-9561.
