~ FRIENDS OF ST. JOSEPH ~

Pope Francis has proclaimed a “Year of Saint Joseph”

December 8, 2020 to December 8, 2021

With the Apostolic Letter “Patris corde” (“With a Father’s Heart”), Pope Francis recalls the 150th anniversary of the declaration of Saint Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church. To mark the occasion, the Holy Father has proclaimed a “Year of Saint Joseph” from today, 8 December 2020, to 8 December 2021.

Father Don Calloway writes,
“In our day, Jesus wants the Church to know, love, honor, and seek refuge
in the spiritual fatherhood of St. Joseph.”

The main aspect of Joseph’s vocation was to be custodian of the Holy Family of Nazareth,
husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary and legal father of Jesus.
His intercession can assist in the protection of children, fathers, all family members
and especially the dying.
