“THAT MAN IS YOU”: First Semester 2019 begins on JANUARY 31st

Thursday mornings 6:15 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. for 13 weeks  (early-bird coffee and pastry from 6 a.m. to 6:15 a.m.)

This study tackles real issues facing real men. It looks at the leadership role that has been entrusted to men and addresses the temptations and struggles men face in a culture that attacks authentic manhood. Finally, it helps formulate a plan that allows men to overcome these obstacles.

The program will be held on Thursdays for 13 weeks. Early-birds will gather at 6 a.m. for fellowship and a continental breakfast. At 6:15 there’ll be a presentation that combines the best of scientific research with the teachings of the Church and wisdom of the saints. That’ll be followed by breakout groups providing the opportunity to discuss what’s been presented. Each gathering concludes by 7:15 a.m. allowing time to get to work or 7:30 Mass.

Of course the best way to judge a program is by its success. Men who’ve attended this program and have been Catholic their whole lives say that this is the program they’ve been waiting for. They consider it a “home run”, saying it’s hard to imagine how the program content could be any better. Priests say it literally transforms men and saves marriages. It’s that powerful. From a single test parish in Houston, TX the “THAT MAN IS YOU!” program has spread throughout the US and Canada. 20,000 men in hundreds of parishes are expected to be participating.

Take advantage of this opportunity for yourselves and your families. It has the potential to bless our lives and the lives of those we hold most dear.

Enjoy a 4-session study of Sunday Mass Readings!

“There’s nothing “ORDINARY” about Ordinary Time”

(suitable for teens and above)

Wednesdays, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Parish Center

AUGUST: 1, 8, 15 and 22

St. Jerome once said that “Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ.”

Using “Opening the Word”, a series of presentations offering insights and opportunities to pray through the Sunday Readings, we’ll discover a way of preparing ourselves to more fully encounter Jesus at Sunday Mass.  Using this model will allow us to more thoroughly enjoy the graces available to us in the two-fold Liturgy we experience at Mass: Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist.  “Opening the Word” features a variety of experienced contemporary theologians and evangelists including Dr. Tim Gray, Dr. John Sehorn, Dr. Scott Powell, Lucas Pollice, Dr. Edward Sri, Dr. Ben Akers and others.  These video/discussion gatherings will generate thought and discussion for faith formation in the context of a group meeting.  Following this series, you will have the tools and confidence to continue to engage in this perparation style for continued growth in personal and/or family faith formation.

This 4-week study will take place in the St. Jude Parish Center
on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. beginning on August 1st, 2018.

Pre-registration is required so necessary materials will be on hand.  You may register by contacting Deacon Les at 561-746-7974 x234 or at  Material fees may be paid by cash, check or credit card.  For checks please write “Opening the Word” in the memo line.
